About Rachel

Outside the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington D. C.
I'm the quiet introvert type. I've been writing various novels since I was a child, but am only now (at almost 30) pursuing publishing. What else? I'm a military brat, a shameless humanist, a Unitarian Universalist, and your quintessential Ravenclaw. I've been a scientist, a teacher, a proofreader, a tour guide, and sometimes I've just been a general leech on society. Depression and anxiety are frequent companions of mine, almost as frequent as my muse - who comes to me as a sarcastic grey fox named Will. Did I mention my weird streak? Can't miss it, I suppose, as it's about a mile wide. I think acquiring knowledge for knowledge's sake is just about the most fun a person can have in life, and although I love to travel in its pursuit you're just as likely to find me in a regular haunt with a book in hand and the world on pause.
I used to run this blog is a semi-organized fashion. I'm rebooting it in 2017 for various reasons. For now, this is the place I'll post thoughts of my life and my writing. Don't expect too much and I hope we'll all be pleasantly surprised.
