Firsts.

There is something about things that come first.

For example, I am a first-born child. You get a lot of privileges as a first, but there are more frustrations when the younger sibling gets to do things you were never able to at an earlier age. Comes with the territory, but I don't think I'll ever get over some of the resentment involved.

Or what about your first kiss? That should be a big step in everyone's life, right? I didn't have my first real kiss until I was on the shy side of nineteen. It was rushed and unplanned and perfectly wonderful all at the same time.

The Russians were the first to launch not only a satellite but also animals and people into space. That started all kinds of trouble.

So what should be the first thing one posts to a new blog? Especially a blog without any real purpose. There's no agenda here. I have no soapbox to preach from. Everything here seems to come back to my own peace of mind. To that end - what would make me happiest to post first? Some explanation of who I am or where I'm coming from? A summary of all two decades (and change) of my life? It seems clear to me that everything unique to be tried has been done. Tone is all that matters now.

What is the tone of the Mystical Minx? I'll have to give it some thought and get back to you.
